Summer 2024 Soap Bars

The Inspiration

This season’s Busy Bee Box has two honey filled soap bars. Our cold process soap is made in small batches with intention and inspiration from the ever changing seasons. This season, we take inspiration from our trip to Provence, France reminiscing the wide open fields of lavender; quiet and peaceful with a subtle hum of buzzing bees. In the famous Lavender town of Valensole, not only is lavender prevalent, but honey as well! Lavender farmers keep rows of beehives on their land to provide homes for the millions of bees dancing throughout. Honey is a humectant that can benefit a wide variety of skin types. Get to know our honey-filled soap bars!

Goat Milk & Honey

Our Goat Milk & Honey soap bar topped with oats is one of the most gentle bars we have crafted to date and declious enough to eat! (Please don’t eat the soap.) Adding honey and goat milk to our signature oil blends of our cold process soap allows for the overall soap bar to create a more foamy, sudsy, and milky lather due to the natural sugars present in honey and goat milk. Honey soap also makes a wonderful bar because of its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe sunkissed summer skin. After a long sunny beach day, hop in the shower and lather up with the creamiest bar of soap there ever was.

Honey Lavender

Honey lavender ice cream, lavender infused honey, lavender honey, and all things bees and lavender is the culmination of this soap bar! Naturally colored with Brazillian purple clay and infused with lavender oil and essential oil, Lavender is most commonly known for its aromatherapy properties targeting the nervous system to enhance mood and promote calmness. Lavender is also known to be antibacterial and antiseptic which can help soothe the skin from bug bites and minor wounds. This multitasking soap bar is not only gentle from the nourishing honey and plant oils, but herbaceously infused with lavender buds ranging in color from lilacs to deep blues.

A Gift From the Garden

Included with this season’s Busy Bee Box is a sachet of dried lavender buds from our founder’s own garden which can be placed near a bedside or on a car mirror by the vents. Each time you smell the lavender, it is a gentle reminder of the lovely scent of summer.

A Note from our Founder

Summer Solstice 2024 Thursday, June 20, 2024, 1:50 PM (pacific time)

Summer Solstice ☀️ is the longest day of the year and the sun is at its highest point in the sky! The sun will set close to 9pm leaving us with a day full of possibilities. Get together with friends at a nearby park, have a picnic, burn plant infused incense while taking the time to journal and chat about the year thus far. Half a year has flown by! Now is the time to document and reflect. Maximize the day or take it slow. The choice is yours! I invite you to bathe in one of the Busy Bee Box soap bars the evening of Summer Solstice to kick off the summer with a gentle wash of honey 🍯
